Green Wave Energy’s World Light Pole makes the renewable energy news headlines because of its proprietary technology aspects which include wind and solar power accessibility. The accessibility to the two types of renewable energy enables the delivery of steady light and power to remote regions including deserts, rocky coastlines, mountains, disaster-stricken areas where grids have been depleted, and even jungles.
The pole also has the benefit of having an energy storage system which may be built and function in almost any place.
Green Wave chief executive Mark Holmes announces he is proud of the renewable-energy powered light pole’s distinct attribute of being the only one that can give light and power in a place where no electricity has been installed yet.
Other benefits of the pole include its capacity to endure hurricane winds and heavy floods, as well as its ability to generate additional power that may be used for fuelling household appliances like water purifiers and stoves.
World Light Pole is built using tamper-resistant bolts that secures the pole so that it becomes resistant to various kinds of weather conditions.
The product may be installed in 1 to 2 hours and may be taken down and re-installed in a new location. Its capability to be used for temporary installation allows instant security for disaster relief operations.
Green Wave has partnered with New York-based Londex for a three-year exclusive distributor agreement in the African market that amounts to multi-million dollars. Specifically, the two companies will target Nigeria, and other regions of West Africa which need grid infrastructure.
Holmes says they hope to power the underdeveloped world with clean and reasonably priced renewable energy from the sun and the wind through their company’s agreement with Londex.
Londex represents S.A. Resources Support Services, a non-governmental entity dedicated to improving the energy and electrical infrastructure of West African countries. Londex representative Endy Eke says their team-up with Green Wave is important for the greater good of West Africa.
In other renewable energy news from Green Wave Energy, the company had developed an ocean wave generator that will be tested with the Catalina Conservancy and the USC Marine Institute on Catalina Island in California. The generators are reported to be “clean, green and mostly unseen”. Holmes adds the generator is ideal for powering power plants for countries and individual locales that do not have easy access to fossil fuels or those who just want to free themselves from fossil fuels.
Green Wave Energy is based in Newport Beach and manufactures renewable energy projects that include wind turbines, wave generators, water current turbines, and combination products like the World Light Pole. The company has been featured in various renewable energy news blogs and sites.

We all know that the sun is very important not only for us humans but also for other living things. It provides us light to brighten the Earth and heat to keep us warm during the day. The energy produced by the sun where many homeowners now utilize to generate electricity for their homes is called the solar energy. This is an alternative source of energy to the power we get from electric power companies who charge us high electricity bills. With solar energy, you can install solar panels, also called photovoltaic cells on the top of your roof and these panels will collect energy from the sun which you can even store and use at night through a net metering.
